Connect your OLX account

Connecting OLX means giving Tidelist permission to publish adverts on your own OLX account through an application that you register yourself.
Choose your country
On the Connect screen, pick the country of your OLX account and save it.
Open the OLX developer portal
Open the developer portal of your country, for example developer.olx.bg, and log in with the OLX account you sell from.
Connect a new application
Choose to connect a new application and fill in the form with a name and a short description of what it does.
Enter the redirect URI and scopes
In the field Redirect URI enter exactly the address Tidelist shows you. Use the scopes read, write and v2.
Wait for OLX to approve
OLX checks every application by hand and e-mails you the result. It then shows a Client ID and a Client Secret.
Paste the credentials and connect
Paste the Client ID and Client Secret into Tidelist, save, then press Connect OLX account and allow access.
Why do I register my own app?
OLX issues API access per application and approves each one by hand. With your own application, your adverts are published from your own account, with your own limits and packages. You can also withdraw access at any time in OLX, and nobody else’s shop shares your credentials.

A Client ID works for one country only.
Staging and local sites
OLX does not accept localhost or other test addresses. On a staging or local copy, register the address of your live site as the redirect URI. After you log in to OLX, the browser opens that address; the page may look blank or show an error, which is expected. Copy the full address from the browser bar, paste it into the field on the Connect screen and press Finish connecting within 10 minutes.
Business and private accounts
Tidelist works with both. Shops normally sell with a business account, which has its own limits and packages on OLX. The Connect screen tells you which type your account is.
Frequently asked questions
Can I test the connection on a staging site?
OLX does not accept localhost or other test addresses as a redirect. On a staging or local site, register the live site's address and use the paste option on the Connect screen.
Where are my credentials stored?
In your WordPress database, encrypted. The Client Secret is never shown again after you save it.
