Tidelist

Getting started with Tidelist and OLX

Updated

Tidelist is a WordPress plugin that lists WooCommerce products on OLX. This guide takes you from installation to the first advert.

  1. Install and activate

Install Tidelist from the WordPress plugin directory or upload the zip. WooCommerce must be active.

  2. Open the first-run guide

Tidelist opens a short guide after activation. It leads you through the next steps.

  3. Connect your OLX account

Choose your country, register your own OLX app, paste its Client ID and Client Secret, and connect.

  4. Map categories and fields

Say which OLX category each shop category belongs to, then check the OLX fields such as condition and size.

  5. Preview a few products

Open the preview of three products on the Listings screen. It shows exactly what would be sent.

  6. Publish a small first batch

Select a few products, type PUBLISH and start. Keep dry-run on until you have looked at the log.

How long does setup take?

The plugin installs in a minute. Most of the waiting is OLX approving your developer app, which is done by hand and has no published time. Mapping categories and checking previews usually takes an hour for a first batch, depending on how many categories your shop has.

The first-run guide leads you through the first steps.

After installation Tidelist is in dry-run. It builds and logs every advert but sends nothing that changes OLX. You switch dry-run off yourself, in Settings, when you are ready. See Safety and dry-run.
